讲座摘要

To overcome the multimodal dispersion, poor directivity, and mechanical rigidity of traditional ultrasonic sensors, this research establishes a comprehensive guided wave control framework utilizing novel active sensing piezoelectric composites. The study introduces three key innovations. First, a flexible Frequency Steerable Acoustic Transducer (PC-FSAT) leverages frequency-wavenumber coupling to achieve precise beam steering and large-area localization. Second, an in-situ spray-coated conformal array utilizes an inverse wavenumber mapping strategy to correct beam distortion, enabling pure, omnidirectional A0 mode excitation on complex curved surfaces. Finally, a self-sensing structural composite integrates piezoelectric materials into load-bearing laminates, physically eliminating multimodal interference and establishing a synergistic near-field (impedance) and far-field (guided wave) monitoring architecture. By synergizing material microstructural design with macroscopic electrode topology, this work transcends fundamental physical limitations, providing a robust foundation for next-generation structural health monitoring systems.

主讲人介绍

Shulong Zhou is a Ph.D. candidate at the Global College, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research centers on Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), active-sensing piezoelectric composites, and ultrasonic guided wave manipulation. To date, he has published 10 academic papers as first author and has earned notable international accolades, including the Best Paper Presentation Award at ICSHMIM and Best Student Poster Awards at IMECE and QNDE. Demonstrating a strong capacity for translating fundamental research into practical applications, he has played a core role in six industry-sponsored SHM projects and holds 5 invention patents and 1 utility model patent.
