讲座摘要
Cavitation inside fuel injector nozzles governs injection accuracy, pressure oscillations, and subsequent atomization, yet its multi-scale dynamics remain difficult to predict-particularly for methanol. We develop an enhanced Eulerian-Lagrangian multi-scale coupling framework that combines a Volume-of-Fluid (VOF) description of the continuous cavitating flow with a Discrete Bubble Model (DBM) for Lagrangian micro-bubbles. The approach integrates a simplified Rayleigh–Plesset formulation for bubble dynamics and two way momentum and mass coupling between phases. Compared to the traditional VOF method, the VOF-DBM framework improves flow prediction accuracy, reducing errors by approximately 2.3 to 3 times. The present multi-scale methodology yields mechanistic insight into cavitation structure–bubble interactions and offers a robust, transferable numerical tool for optimizing nozzle design and methanol based fuel injection systems.
主讲人简介
Chuqiao Wang, deputy director of Institute of advanced power, school of energy and power engineering, Jiangsu University. He completed a two-year joint PhD at St George’s, University of London. He has led four national and provincial-level research projects, including the grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Open Funds of Quanzhong. He was selected for the Jiangsu Province Dual-Innovation Program and recognized as a Youth Science and Technology Talent in Wuxi. He has received the second Prize of the Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award and the second Prize in Jiangsu Province Higher-Education Micro-teaching Competition. He has published more than ten SCI papers and holds seven authorized or publicly disclosed invention patents.
