During the visit, the delegation met with representatives from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) to discuss opportunities for further educational cooperation. In the meeting with NTU, both sides discussed the further development of the undergraduate dual-degree program and the Global Degree Pathways (GDP) program, with a focus on optimizing program structures and strengthening collaboration through mechanisms such as course recognition and credit transfer.

The delegation also held discussions with current students and alumni participating in GC’s GDP program at both NTU and NUS, learning about their academic progress and experiences abroad. Hesheng Wang introduced GC’s recent development and talent recruitment initiatives to doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers at the two universities and exchanged views with faculty members and students.

In addition, the delegation visited the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Singapore Graduate School and met with major donors and representatives from potential partner organizations and companies in Singapore, including Business China Singapore. The delegation also met with SJTU alumni based in Singapore.
During the meetings, Hesheng Wang introduced GC’s recent development and future plans and listened to suggestions on the college’s internationalization efforts. The visit strengthened connections with alumni and helped lay the groundwork for broader collaboration with universities, institutions, and enterprises in Singapore.
The visit was part of GC’s efforts to advance its internationalization strategy of “self-led, diversified collaboration.” Moving forward, GC will continue to expand its global education partnerships and advance innovative programs, including reciprocal dual-degree and reverse dual-degree programs. By bringing together high-quality educational resources and strengthening collaboration with partners worldwide, GC will continue to provide students with diverse opportunities for international learning and development and contribute to Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s efforts to enhance its global engagement.
