GenAI with its seemingly endless capabilities, is setting new benchmarks in artistic creation. It is now an ubiquitous tool in all creative processes: crafting industrial designs, writing computer code, composing music, even fostering genetic breakthroughs. Thus, students need to develop deeply human skills in a smart-machine world where AI keeps transforming creative thinking. This course explores the fundamentals of visual-content generation to better understand the new challenges. Exploring creativity, compositional rules, prompt engineering and basic ethical concepts, the course will delve into the intersection of human production and AI-based technologies, shedding light on current trends, opportunities and challenges around GenAI.
